VIJAYAWADA: With the YSRC holding the TDP government responsible for the attack on party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport, the ruling party leaders have alleged that the YSRC is enacting a drama to portray the accused as a TDP worker by creating a fake membership card. The TDP leaders also lodged a complaint with Guntur police on the issue.

Taking to Twitter, Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh said that after lacking guts to admit the attacker as his fan, Jagan Modi Reddy resorted to his trademark photoshop gimmick to portray his fan as a TDP activist.

TDP senior leader and APSRTC chairman Varla Ramaiah lodged a complaint with Arundelpet police in Guntur on Sunday seeking action against some YSRC workers for making a fake TDP membership card portraying the attacker, J Srinivasa Rao, as a TDP worker. A brother of the accused told the media that they are supporters of the YSRC chief. The letter recovered from the attacker also supports the claim, he said.

Flaying the YSRC chief for his comments that he doesn’t have faith in AP police, Ramaiah demanded that Reddy apologise to the police department. Guntur west DSP P Sowmya Latha said the police had received the complaint from Ramaiah. She said the TDP leader also submitted the original membership card of Molakalapalli  Venkata Ramana of Kondapi of Prakasam district and second card in the name of Namburi

Ankalu of Ganapavaram of Karlapalem of Guntur district.
The complainant alleged that the YSRC cadre were circulating the same membership cards by replacing the original names with that of attacker Janipalli Srinivas Rao and his brother Subba Raju.
Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao wondered why Opposition Leader and YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was not coming into the public after the attack.
