Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday said it will offer free personalised and preventive health check-up for up to 25,000 people in the city over the next 25 days.

The corporate hospital chain said that this would be a part of its its silver jubilee celebrations.  They also informed that such similar screening programmes will be conducted at all Apollo Hospitals across the country over a period of time.

“While we are extremely happy with our journey in the last 25 years, we believe that there is a lot more to be done. We are recommitting ourselves to the challenges of the next 25 years”, said Sangita Reddy, executive director, Apollo Hospitals.

Apollo’s Hyderabad operations commenced on August, 27, 1988 as a 150 bedded hospital. Currently, it operates 8,420 beds in India and overseas across 51 hospitals and 50 countries.

Dr Prathap C Reddy, chairman and managing director, Apollo Hospitalsgroup, said that currently they have the robotic surgery facility in four of its hospitals and are likely to conduct 1,000 surgeries soon.

“Interestingly, doctors, including Indian nationals, working abroad are now evincing interest in working with us. We received about 1,000 applications from the UK alone”, he said.
