Stating that the fate of Telugus could not be decided in Delhi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the Centre to leave the matter of Andhra Pradesh bifurcation to the decision of the people of the state in the ensuing general polls as both the Houses of the state Legislature had rejected the T-Bill. He was speaking to national television channels on Thursday soon after the AP Legislature had rejected the T-Bill.

Describing his party high command’s decision to bifurcate AP as a mistake, Kiran Reddy asked his Delhi bosses to take cognizance of the resolution passed by the AP Legislature rejecting the Bill.  “The Centre should respect the feelings of the AP Legislature and review its stance. Let the people of AP decide the fate of their state in the ensuing general polls,” he asked his Delhi bosses. The Chief Minister exuded confidence that the Bill would not get through Parliament even if it is tabled in the ensuing session.
