BJP national president Rajnath Singh called on Bangaru Lakshman, the former president of the party, who was unwell for some time, at his residence in Jubilee Hills here on Thursday night, before leaving for Delhi.

Accompanied by another former president of the party, Rajnath Singh wished him speedy recovery. In a very brief interaction with mediapersons later, he expressed confidence of the party’s victory in 2014 general elections.

On his earlier meeting with RSS top brass, he said that such meetings between BJP and RSS happen on periodical basis, where different aspects pertaining to finance, political, cultural and international relations along with various other issues are discussed.

Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee (TAJAC) convener Rajender Reddy and others met Rajnadh Singh and submitted a memorandum emphasising the need for setting up separate High Court for Telangana. Singh later left by a special charted flight to Delhi. State leaders including G Kishan Reddy, Bandaru Dattatreya, NVS Prabhakar and others were present.
