MYSORE:  Demanding the government to come out with a permanent solution to tackle drought, thousands of farmers under the banner of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) and Hasiru Sene will stage a protest in front of the district administration offices across the state on April 9. Disclosing this to the media on Monday, Raitha Sangha state general secretary Badagalpura Nagendra said as many as 123 taluks in the state had been hit by drought and farmers are leading a very harsh life.  He demanded the government to introduce an agriculture policy for dry land and waive off the loan amount of farmers, residing in drought- hit taluks and to provide fresh loans.
