HASSAN: Hemanth Kumar, Circle Inspector attached to the District Armed Reserve (DAR) Force here, tendered his resignation on Friday following an alleged insult by probationary DySP Kavita recently.
Sources said that Kavita had allegedly abused Hemanth Kumar over a silly matter in front of the constables and trainees during a discussion on parade and drill. She also requested the SP to take disciplinary action against Kumar. Hemanth Kumar, who went to the SP’s chamber walked out leaving his cap and lathi on the SP’s table after he forced him to tender an apology.
The Superintendent of Police said that Kumar had submitted his resignation to him and he in turn has forwarded it to the senior officers.
