KOLAR: A Hoysala model Kalyana Venkatramana Swamy temple will be constructed on 21 acres at N Venkatapura village in Mulbagal at a cost of `300 crore, said Textile Board member R S Krishnaiah Setty.
After performing pooja for the sacred stone which will be installed at the ‘Karbagudi’ (sanctum sanctorum) on Friday, he said the stone would be taken to the place where the temple would be constructed on April 15 after performing poojas. The bhoomi pooja would be performed as per the customs, in which priests of Tirupathi Tirumala temple, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa and BWSSB chairman S N Krishnaiah Setty would take part.
