TUMKUR: A serial murder accused escaped from police custody here on Friday, only to end up in their net within hours.
The accused Prema alias Premakumar, the kingpin in the murder of 13 women (all call girls) in Bangalore and Tumkur, was brought to the court here. After attending the court, the escort police brought her to the Karnataka State Road Transpot Corporation (KSRTC) bus stand to board the bus. But on the pretext of using the toilet, she escaped.
However, the police passed messages in a splash and nabbed her at the Jastoll Gate near Kyathsandra when she was travelling in a private bus.
