TUMKUR: Excise Minister MP Renukacharya called on centenarian seer of Siddaganga mutt Sri Shivakumara Swamji on Sunday evening. This was the second such visit of his in the last week.
Later speaking to reporters, he clarified that the former chief minister and his team have no plans to join the Congress or ally with the party. He rubbished rumours that had spread in the wake of AICC president Sonia Gandhi’s scheduled visit to the mutt on the occasion of the seer’s Guru Vandana on April 28.
The minister professed ignorance to the Bangalore visit of BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan.
