BELGAUM: The fifth Additional and Sessions Court on Monday sentenced two brothers of Shedbal village in Athani taluk to life imprisonment in connection with a dowry death case.
Judge Sanganna Patil sentenced Nirwani Mitagar and his brother Balappa for murdering Nirwani’s wife Nagawwa with an iron weapon. They forced Nagawwa to bring Rs 20,000 as dowry from her parents and killed her on June 17, 2010. The Judge also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 fine on each of the convicts.
