MYSORE: The city police arrested one more person in connection with the honour killing of Assistant Professor D K Smruthi.
She fell in love with a Dalit man and had married him in secret in a court.
The police arrested Shivu in Sanevara Santhe at Kogadu district on Monday. Shivu,a cousin of Smruthi assisted the prime accused to commit the murder by increasing volume of television late in the night.
The police had arrested Smruthi’s brother Mahadev. The police was pursuing Shivu after the honour killing case was taken up by Women’s Commission.
