GULBARGA: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa expressed hope that his successor D V Sadananda Gowda will reconsider his decision on going on a foreign tour from April 16 to attract investors to Karnataka.

“It would not be proper to go on a foreign tour when the state was reeling under drought,” he said. He replied in the negative on whether the state BJP in-charge conveyed the decision of waiting for a few more days till the Supreme Court's decision on holding CBI inquiry into the mining scandal. On Gowda’s sacking of  the officers close to Yeddyurappa, he said, “Sacking officers attached to the chief minister’s office is Gowda’s prerogative.”
