3D laser survey of Reddy mines from Monday

SANDUR (Bellary): Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with engineers from Singareni Coal Mines in Andhra Pradesh, have marked the boundaries of Associated Mining Company’s (AMC) mine fields owned by mining baron and former tourism minister Janardhana Reddy using special total station instrument on Sunday.

The 3D laser survey will start from Monday.

CBI DIG Jitendra and SP Subramanyeshwara Rao along with engineers and officials of Indian Bureau of Mines, Department of Mines and Geology, Department of Forest and local police visited AMC on Sunday morning to mark the boundaries of minefields.

According to sources, the 3D laser survey will be conducted for four days.

The survey will ascertain if 13 lakh metric tonnes of ore had been extracted, the quantity of ore extracted, depth of earth excavated and ore grades.
