BANGALORE: Before the new-found bonhomie between former CM B S Yeddyurappa, his successor D V Sadananda Gowda and state BJP president K S Eshwarappa could sink in, the BJP is faced with a fresh problem.

A few MLAs claiming to  be the party loyalists have formed a group to exert pressure on the party high command to get major share in the cabinet, the expansion which is on cards.

MLAs C T Ravi, Appacchu Ranjan, Sogadu Shivanna, Appu Pattanashetti and others who  built the party from scratch have reportedly decided to demand the party to reserve at least half of the vacancies in Gowda’s Cabinet for party’s old timers. They have also decided to write to BJP national president Nitin Gadkari.

Their grudge is that the newcomers are being given priority at the cost of the loyal MLAs.
