SHIMOGA: A woman from Bangalore who fell in love with her colleague whom she married two days ago, committed suicide by jumping into the Tunga river here on Wednesday.

The woman identified as Roopa (20)  from Nelamangala in Bangalore and Mounesh, her colleague, went to Sakrebailu near Shimoga. They went on a fishing raft and when they reached the deep part, she plunged into the river and drowned. But Mounesh survived even after attempting suicide by hanging himself from a  nearby tree.

Mounesh is from Koppal, now residing in Bangalore. They worked in a garment factory together.
