GULBARGA: Former minister, MLA and BSR party founder president Sriramulu said that D V Sadananda Gowda is only fit for MP’s post and not for the Chief Minister’s post.

He was addressing a gathering at Dongergaon Cross of Gulbarga taluk on Friday. His ‘Paadayatra’ entered Dongargaon- the border of Gulbarga taluk from Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district, on his way to Bangalore on the fourth day. Sriramulu said that the attitude of Sadananda Gowda clearly shows that he is unfit for the CM’s post.

“Sadananda Gowda has failed to tackle the drought situation in the state,” he said.

Sriramulu claimed that he has started the Paadayatra to wipe the tears of the poor farmers affected by drought. This has nothing to do politics, he said. “Poor people and farmers are approaching me throughout the path of my Paadayatra and narrating their tales of woes,” he said. His sister Shanta and film star Rakshita accompanied him in the walkathon.

He said that he commenced the yatra on Basava Jayanti from Basavakalyan- the ‘Karma Bhumi of Basaveshwara’. He said that the Paadayatra will continue for 54 days and will end in Bangalore. During his Paadayatra, he will tell the people the reason for his resignation to the BJP, he said.

When questioned whether he will rejoin the BJP, Sriramulu replied in the negative. To another question, he said that his sister Shanta, Raichur MP Sanna Fakirappa were his support. Former minister Janardhana Reddy, has expressed his support.
