BSY to visit Belgaum, meet supporters

Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa may have resigned from his MLA seat but he will make his presence felt in the ongoing winter session of the state Legislature in Belgaum.

The embattled Lingayat leader has decided to visit the city to hold meeting with his supporters ahead of Karnataka Janata Party(KJP) convention in Haveri on Sunday. There he will take over as the president of the party.

Sources said that Yeddyurappa was pressurised by his supporters to visit Belgaum, particularly Suvarna Vidhana Soudha during the session and make his presence felt.

He may hold a closed door meeting to discuss the preparations for the convention in Haveri.

BSY poser to KSE

Yeddyurappa on Thursday dared state BJP president and Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa to dissolve the State Assembly to take a fresh mandate from the electorate.

He said there was no meaning in the repeated statements of Eshwarappa that disciplinary action would be initiated against BJP legislators, ministers and MPs who would attend the official launch of KJP in Haveri on December 9.   “Let Eshwarappa dissolve the state Assembly so that the elections are held early and voters get a chance to elect the party of their choice,” he added.
