BSY gets Lokayukta summons

BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special Court on Saturday issued summons to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, his kin and former minister S N Krishnaiah Setty in connection with alleged illegal

BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special Court on Saturday issued summons to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, his kin and former minister S N Krishnaiah Setty in connection with alleged illegal denotification of land in Rachenahalli. The court summoned them to appear before it on March 3.

Yeddyurappa’s sons B Y Raghavendra, B Y Vijayendra and his son-in-law R N Sohan Kumar, who are the directors of Dhavalagiri Properties, were also issued summons by  judge N K Sudheendra Rao.

The judge issued the summons after taking into consideration the investigation report filed by Lokayukta sleuths, which has prima facie found Yeddyurappa guilty in its report. The judge expressed that the accused must undergo a trial.
