BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has said that the regional commissioner of Mangalore has been directed to probe and submit a report on the alleged indecent acts in the party at St Mary’s Island, near Udupi, recently.
“The district administration, which gave the permission to hold the party, could justify their decision. That is why I have directed the regional commissioner to conduct an enquiry and file a report based on which I will take action,” the CM said during the Question Hour to an issue raised by U T Khader and Gopal Bhandary of Congress in Assembly on Tuesday.
Gowda said as per information receivew, Karavali food festival, folk dances and music programmes were held in the party. “Whether or not there were indecent acts can be made out only by a probe,” the chief minister added.
