BANGALORE:  The incident has also evoked sharp response from various organisations across the state. The members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike even attacked the house of the minister demanding stringent action against him.

Meanwhile, both the ministers pleaded innocence and said that they were only watching the video clip of the rave party that was recently held at St Mary’s Island near Udupi. “Since the issue was discussed in the Upper House, we were curious to know about what happened there. At the same time a clip was sent to the mobile phone of Fisheries Minister Krishna Palemar, which we were watching,” Savadi asserted.

Patil said that he was only asking Savadi to switch off his phone and that he was not watching it. However, Palemar rebutted Savadi’s claim that it was his mobile.    Meanwhile, Speaker K G Bopaiah said that he would take action as per the rules.
