BANGALORE: A railway contractor filed a case against Excise Minister M P Renukacharya accusing him of threatening him to withdraw a tender application for a construction work at a railway station near Honnali.
Railway contractor Lingaraju of Shimoga lodged the complaint against Renukacharya with Yeshwantapur Railway Police on Friday evening. When Lingaraju was travelling on February 7 evening, he got a call on his cell phone. The caller claimed to be Renukacharya and asked him to withdraw his tender application.
DySP (Bangalore railway sub-division) Meer Arif Ali said, “We are collecting call details to find out about the actual caller.”
