BANGALORE: A complainant on Friday filed objections in the Lokayukta Special Court against the Lokayukta police’s B report on illegal denotification of government land  involving Home Minister R Ashok and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Complainant Jayakumar Hiremath’s advocate Ponnanna cited various High Court and Supreme Court judgments on B reports filed by the police. He said there were many flaws in the report filed by the police, which gave room to suspicion that there had been no effective investigation.

Judge N K Sudheendra Rao adjourned the issue for further hearing till February 24.

Earlier, Ashok was accused of influencing Yeddyurappa to denotify the government land identified for acquisition by the Bangalore Development Authority. The land’s market value was Rs 15 crore and Ashok purchased it for Rs 44.77 lakh.  police filed the B report on December 16, 2011.
