BANGALORE: Former ministers - Lakshman Savadi, C C Patil and Krishna Palemar - are likely to seek more time from Speaker K G Bopaiah to reply to the show-cause notices served against these three ministers. As per the Speaker’s order, the trio accused of watching and sharing a porn-clip inside the Assembly was supposed to file the reply before 10.30 am on Monday (13.2.2012). But now it is unlikely that they would reply by the time.
According to sources, the trio has decided to seek more time for want of wider legal consultations. The ex-ministers, who gave contradictory statements on the ownership of the mobile phone, now want to be very careful. According to the sources, they all want to give an identical reply so that there is no scope for inconsistency.
It may be recalled that Savadi told reporters after being caught watching a porn-clip that the mobile belonged to Palemar. The reply by the erring MLAs will be submitted to the seven-member inquiry committee to be set up.
