BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday reissued notices to MP Anil Lad and his brother Ashok over a PIL accusing them of operating a resort by encroaching upon 20 acres of forest land and not obtaining proper permission for it from the concerned authorities. A HC division bench had on December 5, 2011, ordered notices to principal secretary of forest department and Ashok and Anil Lad, with further direction to implead Assistant Commissioner S G Patil. It emerged that the notice did not reach Anil, following which the court ordered its reissuance. An RTI activist K N Somashekar had made the allegations against the MP.
