GULBARGA: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, also Union Minister for Agriculture, has told Union Minister for Labour Mallikarjun Kharge and former chief minister and Dharam Singh, also Bidar MP, that he has no plans to woo state Congress MLAs  to his party.

Kharge and Singh disclosed this to the media in separate interactions with the media on Tuesday. The two senior Congress leaders said that Pawar is concentrating on strengthening the NCP in his home state,  Maharastra, and is not interested in wooing Congress MLAs of Karnataka.

When their attention was drawn to the statements of Congress MLAs Malikaiah Guttedar and B C Patil that a group of Congress MLAs will join the NCP en-masse soon due to harassment of senior state Congress leaders, they responded that they do not know who is harassing and who is being harassed.

Kharge, however, chose to parry a question on why Malikaiah Guttedar levelled the charges against him, stating, “Everybody knows what the truth is.”
