BANGALORE: Members of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sena will stage an indefinite strike in front of Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) office on January 9 at 11.30 am.
Addressing the media on Friday, Kodihalli Chandrashekhar, president, Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, “The BDA authorities have turned a deaf ear to our memorandum which we had submitted earlier, so we decided to take this decision.”
BDA has acquired around 2,000 acres of farmers land for the Peripherial Ring Road - Nice Road, Tumkur Road, BIA, Bellary Road, Sarjhapur Road, Hosur Road and Electronic City Road but the farmers are neither paid the compensation nor are they provided with any NOC that the land will be returned.
