Yeddyurappa undergoes cataract surgery again

BANGALORE: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa is said to have undergone a cataract operation on his right eye at the Narayana Nethralaya here on Sunday.

Hospital authorities informed that Yeddyurappa walked into the hospital at 8 am and the procedure was completed within an hour.

“After performing the surgery, an intraocular lens was implanted in Yeddyurappa’s right eye. We have advised him to get four days rest,” Dr Bhujang Shetty, the opthamologist who performed the surgery said.

The medical staff also informed that the former chief minister had undergone the same operation in his left eye on December 30 2011.
