TUMKUR: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, while speaking at the valedictory of Sri Guru Siddharameshwara Jayanti organised at Keregodi Rangapur Kshetra near Tiptur, reiterated his commitment to development in the state.

He declared that he was committed to implement all projects, especially irrigation projects which were commissioned during his predecessor’s tenure.

Both the Netravathi river diversion and the Ettinahole projects will be implemented as the funds were earmarked for detailed project reports.

“There might be some resistance for Netravathi river diversion and the Ettinahole projects in Dakshina Kannada district which will be dealt suitably by taking the people in to confidence,” he clarified. He regretted that the `200 crore grant set aside for Ettinahole project has not been utilised yet.

Suttur seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji was among those present.
