MYSORE: As the police department had come under fire for the lapses in handling the honour killing of Suvarna, policemen led by DSP Uthappa arrested three more accused in the case. They have been identified as Ramanna, Pranesh and Yama. Southern Range IG A N S Murthy and SP Kawshalendra Kumar had promised Dalit forums that the accused would be arrested at the earliest. Dalit organisations and progressive forums had staged a dharna, urging the government to change the investigation officer. National SC/ST Commission member Shivanna has also pulled up the police for their indifference and directed them to extend security to the family of the Dalit boy, Govindaraju. ;ENS
