Akhila Karnataka Makkalakoota goes online

BANGALORE: Akhila Karnataka Makkalakoota launched its website at Chamarajpet on Tuesday. The website, www.makkalakoota.org highlights the activities and achievements of the 74- year-old association aimed at training children from all walks of life . Former Union Minister M V Rajashekharan launched the website and the portrait of late R Kalyanamma, the founder of the association.

Speaking at the occasion, he said children should grow  both physically and mentally and encouraged them to work on all round development. Corporator B V Ganesh unveiled the documentary made on the activities of the association, created by EMMRC, an autonomous body of the UGC Media Centre.

Senior members of the association who  helped shape many children were felicitated. Children presented cultural programmes on the occasion.
