BANGALORE: Terming the reports that the Congress High Command was contemplating to remove him from the post of the President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) as ‘baseless and concocted’, G Parameshwar said that he will not give any credence to such fabricated stories.

Interacting with newsmen after launching the website of KPCC Professional Cell here on Tuesday, the KPCC president said that there were no such plans before the party high command.

Informing that he was given the responsibility to bring the party back to power in Karnataka when he was assigned the post, he said he was working tirelessly to achieve the goal. He claimed that he enjoys full faith of the party supremo Sonia Gandhi.

The KPCC president said that the party was in the process of shortlisting the probable candidates to contest the election.

The KPCC president accused that despite all co-operation extended by the Congress the ruling BJP had ran away from the house in the last session.

Party members would put the ruling party to dock by raising several failures of the BJP Government including its failure in tackling the severe drought condition in most parts of the state, he added.

Replying to the queries on moving of no-confidence motion by the party, against the government during the session, the KPCC president said that the issue would be discussed in the CLP meeting and would be decided.
