DAVANGERE: The Union Minister for Corporate Affairs Veerappa Moily has been selected for the Jayadeva Sri Award and thinker and writer from Mysore, Prof S K Bhagvan has been selected for Shunyasri Award to be presented on January 30 at Sharana Sanakruthi Utsav in Davangere, said seer Basavaprabhu swamiji here on Friday.
The swamiji told mediapersons at Virakth mutt here that said each Award will carry a cash prize of `25,000 each and a citation.
Union Minister Moily’s service as a writer and cultural personality was recognised for Jayadeva Sri Award and Bhagvan has written many books on rationalism.
The three-day Utsav will be held from January 29 to 31 on Shivayogashrama premises.
