UDUPI: BJP nominee for the Udupi-Chikmagalur Parliamentary byelection V Sunil Kumar filed his ‘official’ nomination papers on Wednesday.
He was accompanied by Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, BJP state president Eshwarappa, BJP national general secretary Ananth Kumar and Shimoga MP B Y Raghavendra. It can be recalled that Sunil had filed his nomination on February 25, without the party ‘B’ form.
Sadananda Gowda said as seven out of eight MLAs in the Assembly segments coming under Lok Sabha constituency belonged to the BJP and as it was his constituency, people would vote for the party.
