BANGALORE: Sakala (On Time), is the name for the state government’s ambitious programme of providing quality service on time, whose pilot project will be launched on Thursday.
Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda will launch Sakala at the BBMP revenue office in Jayanagar on Thursday and it will be simultaneously inaugurated by Ministers Revu Naik Belamagi in Bidar, by Anand Asnotkikar in Chitradurga and Jagadish Shettar in Dharwad.
Under the programme, 151 services spanning 11 departments will be provided to people within a stipulated time, failing which there is a provision for slapping a fine.
