BANGALORE: Nandan Nilekani’s book, ‘Imagining India: Ideas for the New Century’ was launched in Kannada in the city on Saturday. Translated into Kannada by Prof K E Radhakrishna, the book ‘Bimba Bharata - Hosa Shatamanada Kalpane’ was released by Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily in the presence of Nandan Nilekani and other prominent academicians. The book is published by Sapna Book House.

Moily said, citizens needed to scientifically question everything around for the country’s progress. He called on all citizens of the country to work together to bring about a positive change.

Discussing the reasons behind writing the book Nilekani said, “I wrote it for myself to make sense of the various complexities that exist in the country. The book is a journey of discovery, I spoke to hundreds of people.” He added  aim was not to make the book a discussion of the past, a biography or one making future predictions. “That is why I divided the book into ideas,” he said.  Stressing change in today’s world occurs at a rapid speed, he added various things however changed at different speeds.
