BANGALORE: The 23rd Sessions Court on Monday posted for orders a private complaint against MLA D K Shivakumar in connection with denotification of 5.11 acres of land off Old Madras Road, to March 7.
One T J Abraham had filed the private complaint against Shivakumar alleging that former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa denotified 5.11 acres of land off Old Madras Road in the name of one B K Sreenivasan in 2010.
But Sreenivasan had died in 2004 and Shivakumar had purchased the land from him in December 2003 for `1.62 crore, the complainant said, and added that the land had been notified for NGEF East Layout way back in 1984. The land is worth ` 40 crore, according to the complaint.
Shivakumar had purchased the land when he was a minister. Purchasing a notified land was illegal, and Shivakumar also got it denotified in a dead person’s name. Abraham and sought directions to the police to investigate. BSY is the second accused in the case.
