BANGALORE: The state BJP welcomed the High Court’s verdict which set aside the observations against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa made in the Karnataka Lokayukta report on illegal mining.
Addressing newsmen here on Wednesday, party spokesperson and general secretary of state BJP unit C T Ravi said, “The verdict has brought us happiness.”
Ravi added that the BJP’s parliamentary board will take a call on reinstating Yeddyurappa as CM or entrusting him with any senior position in the state party unit. ”
Ashok too Welcomes HC Ruling
Home Minister R Ashok welcomed the High Court verdict exonerating former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in the case related to illegal mining.
“It is a happy day for the BJP. We were all along maintaining that Yeddyurappa would come clean,” he added. He added that the party high command would decide on any change in leadership following the Karnataka High Court’s verdict.
