BANGALORE: The state government on Friday issued the terms of reference for the judicial commission headed by Justice R G Vaidyanathan to probe the March 2 violence in the city civil court complex.
One of the four terms of reference is to ascertain whether the police performed their duties diligently in dealing with the situation.
“Yet another point in the terms of reference is to identify persons and organisations responsible for the above incidents,” a release from chief minister’s media secretariat said.
The commission also has to inquire into the sequence of events and circumstances as well as reasons leading to the extensive violence, burning of private and public vehicles, physical violence between media persons, advocates and police on the court premises.
