The bodies of the victims were fished out from a well on Sunday morning.

According to family members, Bangaravva was last seen with her children on Saturday afternoon. Police sources said Patil denied any knowledge of the reason for his wife taking the extreme step.

However, Bangaravva’s father had a different story to tell the police.
