BANGALORE: In an effort to prepare the ground for his new political outfit in the state, former BJP minister and independent MLA B Sriramulu is planning to observe a two-day fast on March 13 and 14 in Gadag.
All the formalities of the outfit were completed and presented before the Election Commission of India for registration.
During the fast, Sriramulu may pass a resolution urging the Central and state governments to take measures to implement the Nanjundappa Committee report on the regional imbalance through a special economic package.
According to sources, a large number of his supporters are expected to throng Gadag on the two days to support the former minister who emerged as the champion of the downtrodden in North Karnataka.
Sriramulu has already toured Belgaum, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, Koppal, Bidar, Chitradurga, Gadag and Dharwad districts.
