BELGAUM: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will be organising its 11th Annual Convocation to felicitate all the first rank holders and gold medallists for the academic year 2010-11 at 11.30 am on April 8.
Addressing the reporters here on Monday, VTU Vice Chancellor H Maheshappa said the rank holders and the medallists will be receiving the degrees from VTU Chancellor Raj Bhardwaj. He said VTU planned to invite Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and Union Minister Pranab Mukherjee at the function.Neary 369 rank holders from various courses will be felicitated. As many as 369 rank holders from courses like BE, M Tech, MBA, MCA and B Arch will be felicitated on the occasion, added Maheshappa. He said 115 students will receive gold medals while 57 students will receiveg Phd degrees. VTU Registrar SA Kori and Registrar (Evaluation) Krishnamurthy GN were also present.
