BANGALORE: The High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the state government, secretary of Muzrai department and DC of Mysore over a PIL seeking cancellation of biometric technology for marking attendance of temple employees.
The petitioners, Sri Srikanteshwara Temple Welfare Employees Association, Nanjangud, stated that the technology introduced by the Muzrai department for marking attendance of temple employees was against tradition.
They also added that a representation to the Mysore DC to cancel the system was dismissed.
