BANGALORE: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) welcomed the annual budget for 2012-13 presented by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar said that the finance minister has presented yet another pro-people budget taking care not to burden the poor and common man.

“The allocation of over 18 per cent of the total outlay for agriculture sector would help to boost farm production; by waiving off farm loans, the UPA government has exhibited its commitment to the farming community,” he added.He said the decision to establish over 6,000 model primary and secondary schools across the country would infuse quality and inclusive growth in the education sector.
