Infosys to construct 10000 toilets

BANGALORE: In order to encourage rural households to have individual latrines, the state government plans to extend the subsidy being paid to below poverty line (BPL) families to above poverty line families as well.

Also, Infosys Technologies has come forward to construct 10,000 latrines in Gulbarga at a total cost of Rs 10,000 each,” Minister Jagadish Shettar said during Question Hour in the Council on Tuesday.

MGNREGA Lapses: 540 Officers Booked

The state government has filed cases against 540 officers, including 139 criminal charges, for misappropriation of funds while implementing the MGNREGA works.
