HUBLI: Narayana Academy of Hindustani Classical Music will organise ‘Bhairav Se Bhairavi’, a music festival to mark the birth anniversary of late Dr Gangubai Hangal at Sawai Gandharv Hall on April 1.Academy president Prakash Hangal told media persons here on Thursday that as part of the programme a musical event will be held from 9 am to 9 pm on Sunday.

Artistes Ashwii Bhide Deshpande (vocal), Ajay Pohankar (vocal) from Mumbai, Praveen Godkhindi (flute), Fayyaz Khan (saarangi) Bangalore, M Venkatesh Kumar (vocal), Dharwad, Veena Hangal (vocal), Gayatri Deshpande (vocal) and Nikhil Joshi (sitar) from Hubli will perform. Artistes Ravindra Yavagal, Udayraj Karpur, Shrivatsa Koulgi Kiran Yavagal (tabla), Vyasmurti Katti and Ravindra Katoti (harmonium) will accompany them.
