History-sheeter hacked to death

A 38-year-old history sheeter was hacked to death allegedly by his rival gang members near Old Bagalur in KG Halli police station limits on Sunday morning. The victim Daniel, a resident of Bagalur was also running a real estate agency near is house.

Daniel was involved in 13 criminal cases registered at KG Halli police station.

According to the police, the incident took place near his house and the assailants put a cement slab on his head to kill him.

On Saturday night, Daniel, who was drunk went to a house where a person died earlier in the day and forced them to play Tamil songs.

However, a woman objected to his presence in the house and abused him.

Angered, Daniel allegedly assaulted her and left the house. Later his friends Vinod and Gujju, who went to his house, offered him to have a party.

Daniel went with them to a bar and all of them got drunk.

When Daniel was in an inebriated state the assailants took him to his house and killed him in front of the house and also threw stones at him, the police stated.

In the morning, his family members noticed his body and informed the police.

The family members and the associates of Daniel also blocked roads and tension prevailed in the area for sometime.

The police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

The police suspect that the attackers might have killed him over an old rivalry.

The police have detained two persons and are investigating.
