Opposition leader in the Assembly Siddaramaiah alleged that the state government has turned a blind eye to the severe drinking water problems in drought-hit areas.
Participating in a debate on a motion on severe drinking water in over 159 drought-hit taluks, he said the government has failed to spend the grants released by the Centre to address the problem. Siddaramaiah also urged the state government to release a minimum of Rs 2 crore to each taluk across the state to tackle the water issue.
