The Congress in Karnataka which was opposing holding of elections to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) ahead of the Assembly elections, is all set to participate in the poll and present a spirited fight against the BJP and other political parties, KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar told Express.

Congress is ready to face it with all its seriousness, he added. He said that the party had opposed the ULBs polls as candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBCs and women were deprived off 50 per cent seat reservation for contesting the elections.
