Train youths in political governance: Kiran Bedi

Former IPS officer and India Against Corruption (IAC) Member Kiran Bedi said dedicated institutes to train youngsters in ‘political governance’ should be set up and it must be added in colleges as part of ‘Liberal Arts’.

Addressing a gathering at ‘Akarshan’, the 36th Rotary District Conference, she said, “Only trained youth must be allowed to join politics. Institutes that will be able to impart such a training must also make students work in villages and inaccessible areas so that they develop experience and honesty.”

“Youth, armed with knowledge in law, history, finances and other disciplines, can aim to join national political parties and clean them up,” she said.

“Youth must come with a spotless character and treat political power as public service,” Kiran Bedi added.
