The JD (S) held a meeting of all the district presidents here on Tuesday to chalk out the party’s strategies for the upcoming ULB elections.
The meeting, presided over by state JD (S) president H D Kumaraswamy, took stock of the situation in each district.
He advised the district presidents to prepare the list of candidates in the next 2-3 days and it would be released district-wise in Bangalore. The party is confident of putting up a good show in north, coastal and South Karnataka.
Chamaraja Assembly Constituency sitting BJP MLA H S Shankarlinge Gowda would be joining JD (S) after submitting his resignation to Speaker K G Bopaiah soon. He will be given a ticket to contest from the same constituency, said Kumaraswamy.
